'What Our Customers Say'
Poppy
"Dave Johnson has taught my daughter Poppy for over four years. She started playing the guitar at the age of seven and he has worked with her to help her to achieve a really high standard of playing for her age. She loves going to her lessons and each one is tailored around her specific needs. Dave teaches in a really engaging way, he is patient too, and I am not sure Poppy would have achieved as much without his encouragement and teaching.
Thank you Dave."

Nathaniel Taylor - Aged 14
My eldest son, Nathaniel, started having lessons with Dave back in 2010, when he was just six years old.
Dave was brilliant with him when he was younger as he found his way around learning this new skill. After about 12 months, Nathaniel won a music competition at school and performed in front of all the parents at one of the concerts. Since then he has gone from strength to strength; starting on the electric guitar alongside the acoustic guitar and more recently the bass.
Dave has been a wonderful teacher over the past 8 years and Nathaniel always looks forward to his lessons. Dave encourages him to explore and develop his own musical tastes and has been instrumental (excuse the pun) in my son developing a true passion for music.
I can highly recommend Dave if you, or your children, are interested in learning to play the guitar.
When I asked Nathaniel if he wanted to say anything about Dave for this testimonial he said (and I quote), “Dave, oh he’s a legend”.

Harry
“With Dave’s guidance, Harry has progressed brilliantly and developed a real passion for music, which I hope will stay with him for life. Dave is kind, patient and inspirational and I would recommend his lessons for any budding guitarist.”

David Watling - Baildon
Dave has a great teaching style, he has always been enthusiastic and encouraging, and always finds a way to break down and simplify a piece when I have struggled with it. He has taken me from a complete beginner who had never played any instrument to a level where I can enjoy playing along to a variety of tracks, and I have also begun to understand more about how the pieces are put together. We play a mix of things that Dave suggests (to fit in with some technique we are trying to practice) and tracks I suggest, and I think this mix keeps the lessons interesting and fun. I feel I am well on the way to fulfilling my ambition to become a rock star by the time I retire 🙂
Paul Thompson - Eccleshill
"Before starting at Bingley Guitar Studio I knew very little about Guitars. Thanks to Dave's refreshing style of tuition, it's much easier to understand for someone starting from scratch. Dave adapts the lesson structure to my preferences while exploring other genres & pushing me to that extra level. Dave is easy to get on with & extremely patient. All in all I would highly recommend his lessons." Paul

At the ripe old age of 63, I decided it was time to learn the guitar. Due to family commitments tho' I am frequently a 'no-show', and certainly slow on the uptake - sometimes! With kindness, consideration and focus, Dave has , against the odds, taught me to play. Dave is a man who see's music, (and playing music) as a gift for our ears, our sense and our souls. He is right. Dave is the 'dog's xxxx….. the master! This is real. Jonathan Garnett (now 66).
